BACK TO BASICS

I’ve been a bit on the down-low lately–massive jet lag from Europe but more to the point–my psyche and spirit were jarred during the month I spent there, in a good way.

Consequently, I’m rethinking my living in Tucson, my approach to earning, my relationship with and level of trust toward God, other people, and the universe…FUN!

I am even contemplating hiring a web redesigner/marketing plan person! Seriously, I never thought I’d see the day…

This is all to the absolute good. If a bit unsettling.

Today’s Gospel reading is Martha and Mary (Luke 10:38-42).

I comfort myself with this: When all is said and done, and no matter what, I have chosen the better part, and it shall not be taken from me.

    hi heather
well – do you like the fall weather? i am celebrating my 63 rd birthday the whole year and my theme is autumn. its a special time.
    its harvest time, i know.
but i want to remind you of the light specks in the dark. they are for healing! healing is everywhere, when you look for it with purpose.
i recommend the book ” strong like water” by aundi….( i forgot her last name) she also wrote the book ” trying softer” which was her first. i like both.
fall is for mature women. i just read elisabeth yates oldfashioned book about older people. there is may sarton with her older books.
    to gain some perspective.
i know i am too intrusive but if you not sleep well, drink a cup of hot milk and snuggle under the covers.
    wishing you the best.
    your friend tina

Heather- I just want to encourage you as you navigate these decisions that lie before you! God is with you always and will lead you through. No matter what- you are loved and taken care of all the way. My daily mantra: “Jesus I trust in you. Take care of EVERYTHING” . That about covers it. Also, I read today’s gospel in my Magnificat while in adoration and wrote in the margins- “I am Martha!” So I’ve got that going for me. Ha! There’s so much work for the Holy Spirit to do in me and not nearly enough time… God bless you Heather- You are a gift to His kingdom

Glad to read the part “In A Good Way”.
Truly appreciate your writing and taking us along on your journies all these years.
As a native Angelena, you opened up ideas and shown me places I never had or would have noticed. My cousin’s daughter attends U of AZ. I have shared your writings and photos of Tuscon on how you beatifully describe it. You have opened up that view to them as they are from SoCal. In fact, I am in Pasadena writing this!
May God continue to Bless you, and keep you safe, peaceful.
