How seldom in this world do we get to “tell our stories!” (I of course have been telling mine for decades)…
Here’s part of the story of my friend Patrick, who has been a working actor all his life. I’ve seen him perform many times over the years, the first time being when I attended an episode of “Frasier” being filmed live in LA…
There’s more about him in the YouTube commentary beneath the video. So if you’re a fan of his, or just curious about the life of a performing artist, have a listen!
I’m watching it in segments & I’m loving seeing you two conversing about your crafts-looks like you two have things in common. I don’t recall the name, but I loved “Fraiser,” I’ll look it up & watch him in it. Thank you for sharing him with us.

It was a huge hit in its day, “Frasier,” and ran 11 seasons, from 1993-2004. I never much watched it but I did go to the shooting, in Hollywood, of one of the episodes in which Patrick appeared…that was a thrill. Glad you’re enjoying his story!
My 19 year old daughter and I have been binge watching Frasier reruns and we love Patrick’s role as Noel. E wry time he comes on we talk about how much he love him! So tonight I looked around the internet to see more about him. This interview is very nice. Thank you.
Wonderful, bonnie, yes, Patrick is an incredible actor! I may have said I once got to watch a Frasier shoot…As usual. I was oblivious to Hollywood royalty. Afterward I was like “Wow, that guy with the three names is really good!” And Patrick, appalled, said “Heather, David Hyde Pierce has won a million Emmys”…Anyway, he’s a treasured friend, Patrick…so glad you got to see our little interview!
Patrick as the blind fellow in Curb YourEnthusiasm. Brilliant
Absolutely agree re: Curb role! I just watched Patrick K. “scene steal” as a very sympathetic waiter in “…Old Christine” with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and had that “where have I seen him?” moment. Big “Curb” fan here, and his couple of appearances are among the best. I’ll have to look for the Frasier eps.
Patrick is insanely talented! I’ve seen him in so many stage productions as well…FYI, he’s also a crazy great writer, and an all-around A-1 person, and is going to attend the 8-week Writing Workshop I’m about to offer in Jan-Feb 2025! Thrilled to hear from some of his fans. Thanks Rich, and Mike–
He’s a genius! I love Noel Schemsky in Frasier – his goofy attempts for Roz’s affection and his quirky love for certain comic and Star Trek (Star Wars?) characters. Very underrated actor!
Isn’t he just amazing, Pam! And can also do Shakespeare…sing…(toured in My Fair Lady a couple of years ago)…his first love is theater. He’s in La JOlla at the moment…anyway, so glad you loved the interview, thank you!
